Dexamethasone
THE WORLD
HEALTH ORGANIZATION (WHO) IS OPTIMISTIC ABOUT THE RESULTS OF the utilization OF
DEXamethasone to TREAT PEOPLE WITH THE NEW CORONAVIRUS. This drug helped
critically ill patients, especially those that had to use ventilators.
Dexamethasone may be a corticosteroid, which recently helped reduce the number
of deaths of patients using ventilators by a few third consistent with the
study, a decrease in patients requiring oxygen only by about half. It should be
noted that the advantages of using this drug were evident only in patients with
serious and high complications, not those with moderate and mild symptoms. The
findings are from a British study by Oxford University, which began in March
and targeted quite 11,500 patients. The study's lead researcher, Professor
Peter Horby, explained that this is often the sole drug that has been related
to good results to enhance the survival rate of the latest CORONA patients
which it must become a part of the health care plan provided to those patients.
Dexamethasone is employed to scale back inflammation during a wide selection of
diseases, like arthritis, allergies, and even certain cancers.
